Yap Yap

A 2 track breaks single (13m 21s) — released July 18th 2011 on Finger Lickin

Coming on like a Bodyrox party circa 2012, ‘Yap, Yap’s murmured robotic vocals pepper the melodic b-line, building to a typically funk-stained breakdown. Meanwhile on the remix Escobar and Vito steer things more towards electro house territory, with an extra twist undulating beneath the Bud original. Last years ‘Jack The Groove’ was a catchy-as-hell hit for the pair and drenching ‘Yap, Yap’ with their trademark flavour adds a certain smuttiness to proceedings. Brothers Bud, aka Dom Farrington and Ollie Gregson, have been creating tunes for Finger Lickin’ since the balmy summer of 2002, when they released their first massive hit on the label - ‘Herbgrinder’. The combination of Dom’s pirate radio background and Ollie’s more traditional, graded music childhood has proved a winning combination for the pseudo-siblings, who have since become an integral part of the Finger Lickin’ fold. Bud’s productions have made them a constant in the boxes of Kid Kenobi, Rennie Pilgrem, Krafty Kuts and the Plump DJs and ‘Yap,Yap’ could be the track to take them out of the breaks arena.
